I wish I could afford one of everything. Beautiful colorful clothing, especially the custom made jackets. Incredible workmanship. Perfect for special or festive occasions, even a concert stage. Dazzling. Storefront is just past the Castro Theater. Beautiful to look or window shop, even if you're not a buyer. Friendly owner/designer. Beautiful windows always.

Over the years, we’ve collected about a dozen jackets, vests, pants, and hats from Freeborn Designs. They range from professional to stylish to extravagant and always receive so many compliments. We love the distinct yet stylish designs and fabrics, the quality and durability of the pieces, and shopping experience there. Every jacket is nicely lined, and the heavier coats are a must for colder outdoor events, even standing up to pouring rain. When the time came to plan our wedding, choosing Freeborn once again was a no-brainer. My husband and his groomsmen had a fun afternoon choosing their suits for the wedding. They tried on different styles, fits, fabrics, and colors before narrowing down to a distinct yet classy three-piece suit. James guided them through the process like a pro, suggesting different options that catered to their style, comfort, and mobility. Their pants, vests, and jackets were all custom made to their measurements, and they each added custom embroidery inside of the jackets. The suits arrived on time and carefully packaged, complete with garment bags. Some of the groomsmen’s measurements had changed a bit since ordering, and alterations by our local shop were no problem. My husband and his best buddies looked so handsome on our wedding day! They looked and felt great and said they couldn’t wait for the occasion to wear them again. Not to mention his truly unique designs. With influences from all around the world, they all culminate here in the most dazzling outfits that are sooo SAN FRANCISCO! <3 We had custom designs tailor-made for our business, and the amount of attention it garners is quite the benefit as well!

This is such a cool suit store! The owner is very friendly and will answer any of your questions. They sell really colorful and unique suits, and you can just buy one piece if that's all you need. They can custom fit you, or they can take your measurements here then send you to a tailor down the street (one they recommend). Even the hats they sell here are super beautiful and unique! This will definitely not be your every day average suit. I recommend!

At first the windows were a bit shocking. I decided to check the store out. Saw the quality and the styling. Then it happened the velvet jacket in the window. Bought the jacket and when worn constant compliments. I tell them where to check out the store
